about me

Over the past 25 years, I’ve enjoyed a rich and diverse career in acting, directing, devising, writing, and teaching, across Scotland and beyond.

I am always keen to meet new collaborators. Whether you need a director for a play with professional actors or for a devised piece with community players, a presenter for a documentary film, an actor, or a drama package for school pupils (or teachers!) I would be delighted to chat.

Current projects

HAlf a minute - director/presenter

(Previously supported by NFTS, now in development) A short documentary film that shines a light on non-fatal strangulation and the tenacious women who are challenging this alarming trend.

when billy met alasdair - director

Scottish tour of Alan Bisset’s one man show that celebrates the lives of Billy Connolly and Alasdair Gray and imagines their conversation at the launch of Lanark in 1981.

THE STORY OF A FAINT HEART

At 51, Scottish Mauritian storyteller Steph Morris has had quite enough of other people telling her where she fits and where she doesn’t. In this one-woman show, she navigates the journey from Gartleahill to Ruchill, Flic en Flac to Rose Hill, searching for an identity that feels like home.
