about me

I direct theatre that's bold, honest and built to connect with audiences. Glasgow-born, RCS-trained, I've spent two decades moving between new writing, dark comedy, music theatre and solo shows. From 2021–24 I was Artistic Director of A Moment's Peace, a participatory arts organisation in Glasgow.

I'm always keen to meet new collaborators. Whether you're looking for a director for a professionally cast production or a devised piece with community performers, a presenter for a documentary film, an actor, or a workshop package for pupils and teachers, I'd be delighted to chat.

Current projects

HAlf a minute - director/presenter

(Previously supported by NFTS, now in development) A short documentary film that shines a light on non-fatal strangulation and the tenacious women who are challenging this alarming trend.

when billy met alasdair - director

Scottish tour of Alan Bisset’s one man show that celebrates the lives of Billy Connolly and Alasdair Gray and imagines their conversation at the launch of Lanark in 1981.

THE STORY OF A FAINT HEART

At 51, Scottish Mauritian storyteller Steph Morris has had quite enough of other people telling her where she fits and where she doesn’t. In this one-woman show, she navigates the journey from Gartleahill to Ruchill, Flic en Flac to Rose Hill, searching for an identity that feels like home.
